Surabaya - PR | Twelve students from various FISIP undergraduate majors attended the faculty’s Best Accomplished Student (Mawapres) selection on Wednesday (30/8). Mawapres itself is an annual event of FISIP organized with the aim of screening outstanding students in FISIP to represent FISIP at universitas-level Mawapres selection. In this stage of selection, the participants presented their scientific papers. This year, the theme of the scientific papers selection had a wide scope, covering social and political issues.
The selection was held in the Common Room of FISIP UNAIR, with 3 lecturers of FISIP as the judges. The three judges were Citra Hennida, S.IP., MA., who conducted assessment on the scientific paper, Nurul Ratna Sari, S.IP., M.Comm., conducted assessment on the personality, and Hari Fitrianto, S.IP., M.IP provided analysis on the CV of each candidate. The jury hopes that the participants will not only pour their ideas into scientific paper, but also actualize their idealism to be a decision maker in the future.
One of the participants, Lucky Christian from Communication major of 2016 batch, admitted that it is his goal, aspirations and motivation since before he entered college when asked about the reason for his participation in Mawapres selection. In addition, he also wanted to be able to explore and learn more things by following this selection. The theme of the scientific papers he chose in the selection is related to the issue of "Clean Government, Good Governance".
Aside from being an annual event, this activity aims to find representatives of outstanding students from FISIP at university level. Moreover, this event is a form of appreciation of FISIP UNAIR campus to students who have brilliant achievements in various fields. (AN/ZK/CAY/HLD)
